My review was posted for the single at UKMIX, I thought you guys might be interested in what I said: Rachel Stevens' second single from her debut album of the same name follows up "Sweet Dreams My LA Ex" with a smooth, seductive sound that's hypnotising. It's reminiscent of S Club's "Natural", in which Rachel sung lead vocals over a chorus that just didn't live up to its potential. Not the best choice for a follow up single, but when your first song goes in at No. 2, it makes sense to follow it up with something of a similar style that just won't get out of your head. (Melissa A. Popp) [****] Let me know what y'all think of the song! You can read the other review here: www.ukmix.net/reviews/2003/1208.html

Um, I don't know if they don't like it, there's some steep competition during December. Everyone wants the X-Mas number one, it's a prestige event in the UK... I don't think "Funky Dory" was promoted like "Sweet Dreams My LA Ex" was, if it were, then, I think it would've done better. 19 Productions didn't invest the marketing campaign they did with the first single, they probably assumed that if her first solo single went to number two, her follow-up would, too. Besides, I still love her.
